About the Role:

GSL Education are actively seeking a qualified Cover Supervisor for immediate placement at Client Schools in Washington. We are looking for dynamic individuals committed to cultivating a positive learning atmosphere. Cover Supervisor Role:

• Lead classes in teachers' absence, ensuring students participate in pre-planned activities.
• Nurture a positive and safe learning environment through effective behavior management.
• Collaborate with colleagues to organize work and ensure access to necessary resources.
• Offer constructive feedback to teachers regarding attendance, engagement, and task completion.

The successful candidate will:

• NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher, or a graduate aspiring for a career in education.
• Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies (training provided).
• Readiness to undergo additional training for continuous professional growth.
• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and communication abilities.
• Initiative and adaptability to diverse situations.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to undergo the process.
• A thorough and verifiable work history.

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.

Furthermore, we currently offer £100 for successful referrals of either teachers or teaching assistants! We also provide a complimentary two-day Team Teach Qualification to candidates booked for long-term work in our schools. Conditions apply, and spaces are limited!
