Job Title: Full time SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Rochdale M24 1FL
Salary: £30000 - 41333 Per annum (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)
May 2024 – July 2024
About the school and role
This friendly primary school in the Rochdale area is seeking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to work 1-1 with pupil with challenging behaviours. Ideally you will possess previous experience within a similar role to this as it is a challenging role due to the nature of the requirements. You will provide additional support to the student in Ks2 Year 5, above all you must have a genuine passion for supporting children with special education needs to help develop their emotions and provide strategies to eliminate triggers. Key responsibilities
- Encourage students to interact with their peers and engage in group work
- Working 1-1 and in small groups with students with Special Educational Needs
- Implement and follow EHCP’s and Behaviour plans for the student(s)
- Prepare materials that will cater to the individual needs of the child
Requirements
The requested skillset the desired Mental Health Support Assistant will require;
- Will have recent experience working with children in similar roles
- Be patient and flexible as no day is the same
- Have a passion for Mental, Health and wellbeing with the ability to plan and deliver playful, and hands on experiences for children
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of educational professionals
