HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)

GSL Education is on the lookout for an experienced and highly skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive team in a primary school in Washington, Tyne and Wear. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting teaching and learning activities, covering lessons, and contributing to the development of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver planned learning activities in the absence of the teacher, ensuring continuity of learning.
  • Assist in preparing lesson materials and learning environments.
  • Support students with special educational needs, providing tailored assistance to facilitate their learning and inclusion.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress.

Requirements:

  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in a primary school setting.
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
