GSL Education 
are currently hiring Higher Level Teaching Assistants for mainstream Primary Schools based in Southampton. As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will be working within the class to support the teachers with their lessons, you will be working alongside a team of support staff. Previous experience in a similar role is desired but not essential.

As the HLTA, you will be expected to:

  • Have excellent team spirit and good behaviour management skills
  • Be passionate about teaching and have a strong command of the curriculum
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education


Please be advised that this Higher Level Teaching Assistant role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection or willingness to take a course on safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
