As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to:

Provide Individualized Care and Support: Work closely with students with PMLD, offering personalized care, assistance, and encouragement to help them thrive both academically and personally.

Foster a Nurturing Environment: Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach Collaborate with a Multidisciplinary Team: Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to implement individualized education and care plans, ensuring the holistic development and well-being of students with PMLD.

Facilitate Meaningful Learning Experiences: Use creative and innovative approaches to engage students with PMLD in stimulating learning activities tailored to their unique abilities and interests.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with students with PMLD or other complex needs is desirable but not essential.
• Compassion, patience, and empathy are essential qualities for this role.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
• Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support are advantageous.
