Join Our Team as an ASC Teaching Assistant at Our Special Educational Needs (SEN) School in Medway!
Are you passionate about supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and making a positive impact in their lives? Our SEN school in Medway is looking for dedicated and compassionate ASC Teaching Assistants to join our team.
As an ASC Teaching Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to:
Provide Individualized Support: Work closely with students with ASC, offering tailored support to meet their unique needs and promote their social, emotional, and academic development.
Create Inclusive Learning Environments: Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.
Collaborate with a Multidisciplinary Team: Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide holistic support to students.
Facilitate Learning and Engagement: Use creative and innovative strategies to engage students with ASC in meaningful learning experiences, promoting independence, confidence, and self-esteem.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with ASC or other special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development of students with ASC.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support are advantageous.
