Daily Rate: £85 - £95

Employment: Long term to permanent Monday to Friday (8.30am – 4pm)

GSL Education are currently supporting a school in Oldbury are looking for experienced special educational needs (SEN) teaching assistants who will be involved with working 1:1 and small groups with children with Extremely Challenging Behaviour, Autism, ADHD, Aggression, SEMH, PMLD, Looked After Children, CSE/CSA, those who are at risk of harm to themselves or others as well as individuals with Attachment difficulties.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 behaviour support to pupils with challenging behaviour and SEN requirements
  • Managing and implementing appropriate structures to manage challenging behaviour
  • Acting like a positive role model and providing nurture support
  • Providing numeracy and literacy booster sessions out of the classroom
  • Ensuring you read about the child’s requirements
  • The care and welfare of pupils to include toileting and feeding as required.
  • To assist pupils with dress/changing for activities/personal hygiene

Requirements:

  • High standards of written and spoken English.
  • NVQ Level 2 Childcare, Learning and Development or equivalent qualification.
  • Willing to undertake all training necessary to perform the role.

  • The school requires candidates with previous experience working with children with complex and profound learning difficulties.
