Exam Invigilators required in Huddersfield!

Exam Invigilators are required in Huddersfield to support our client schools. Exam invigilation work is seasonal, revolving around the school exam periods.

Exam Invigilators are mostly needed throughout May and June however, if you make a good first impression, you’ll be more likely to stay on with the school, working in a support role as either a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant, should you wish to.

A real benefit of working as an Exam Invigilator and school support roles is that you have the flexibility to work either full day or half day shifts, enabling you to work it around your own schedule. 

The role:

As an exam invigilator you will be responsible for ensuring that exams are conducted in an appropriate manner within the correct time frame. Your role os to supervise the students and make sure that exam regulations are being met at all times.

  • You will be responsible for distributing stationary and exam papers to the students whilst ensuring exam conditions are adhered to at all times.
  • You will assist in the preparation of the exam hall and other exam rooms to ensure that it meets requirements.
  • You will provide support where necessary should an emergency arise e.g. sick student, fire evacuation.
  • You will be responsible upholding the integrity of the examination process and answering any queries that a student may have about the exam.
  • You will ensure all students have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their abilities ensuring the security of the examination before, during and after the examination.
  • You will be expected to prevent possible malpractice and administrative failures as well as liaising with the examination officer and senior invigilators.

Requirements:

  • All candidates must pass our vetting and compliance procedures including having or obtaining a full enhanced disclosure – which we can help with.
  • Full training will be provided but a good ability to apply detailed written instructions, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
  • The successful candidates must be able to concentrate and work quickly under pressure, for several hours at a time and maintain confidentiality and use initiative in response to unexpected situations.
