Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: High Peak, Derbyshire
Salary Scale: £75 - £90 per day
Start Date: Immediately
 
GSL Education is seeking inspiring and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to join our client schools in High Peak, Derbyshire.

The main duties as a Primary Teaching Assistant will include:

• Supporting the pupils in their education
• Supporting and managing behaviour
• Working with the class teacher to implement interventions
• Supporting and delivering creative and innovative lessons
• Using formative and summative assessment
• Assessing phonics following the school’s chosen program
• Promoting independence with life skills
• Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care

 
The ideal candidate will:

• Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us)
• A fully checkable work history
• Must have a driving license.
• Preferably should have business insurance and be committed for long term.
• Candidate must be in good mental and physical health and also must be a resilient and reliable individual.
• Must be able to work with vulnerable and challenging pupils in a school environment.
