Role Overview: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of our team, providing individualized support to students with SEN. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with class teachers to implement individual education plans and tailor learning strategies to meet students' needs.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students, ensuring they remain engaged and make progress in their learning.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued and respected.
  • Working closely with the SENCO and other professionals to assess student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
  • Encouraging independence and self-confidence in students while providing guidance and reassurance as needed.

What We're Looking For: We are seeking individuals with:

  • Previous experience working with SEN students, although this is not essential.
  • A compassionate and patient demeanor, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An understanding of various SEN conditions and strategies for supporting diverse learning needs.
  • A willingness to undergo training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
