Position: Teaching Assistant
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, long-term (until the end of the academic year)
Responsibilities: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching and learning process within the classroom. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Providing one-on-one support to students who may require additional help.
- Supporting students with special educational needs or disabilities, ensuring their inclusion and progress.
- Assisting with the planning and preparation of teaching materials.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to the teacher.
- Managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive student conduct.
- Collaborating with the teaching team to enhance the overall educational experience.
Requirements: To be considered for this position, you should meet the following requirements:
- Previous child-based experience (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, voluntary work).
- Possession of a valid and up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate registered on the update service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- A strong commitment to the welfare and development of young people.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A genuine passion for education and a desire to make a difference.
- A university degree or relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential).
Remuneration: The remuneration for this position will range from £80.00 to £100.00 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. This rate reflects the importance of the role and the commitment required to support our students' educational journey.
