Experience in an educational or care setting would certainly benefit you this role, and experience in SEN or SEMH would make you an outstanding candidate.

Hours: 08:15 - 16:15 Monday - Friday

Wage: £85-100 a day

What do you need?
No qualifications are needed to be a teaching assistant, your character plays a big part in the role. If you feel you can display kind communication, patience and resilience you will be a fantastic fit for the school. A DBS will be needed but if you do not currently have one - no worries, we'll get it sorted! A general understanding of safeguarding is also beneficial, but we can provide training.

This primary school follows the national curriculum but has catered for an individual learning plan for each and every pupil. They accommodate a diverse range of special educational and disability needs, including (but not exclusively) the following:

Responsibilities and duties:
Guiding students - Supporting 1:1 and small groups of pupils
Build trusting and constructive relationships with pupils
Be a team player - Work with the school to ensure the best support and care
Encourage engagement and development in child's learning
Set challenges to promote self-esteem and independence
Provide feedback to both teachers and pupils
Encourage socialisation and good behaviour by being patient and empathetic

10 years (or nearest) work history
