Here at JEP Talent we are looking for excellent Education Coordinators to join our team at JEP Youth Engagement.

JEP Youth Engagement is determined to support young people to fulfil their potential. You will need to deliver engaging sessions to our young people, focus the sessions on improving their life chances and communicate with all stakeholders with a view to tracking and monitoring the progress of each individual you work with. You will share and report on sessions through feedback forms, weekly logs and reflections and termly reports.

Responsibilities

  • To engage our students during activity sessions
  • Support students with different NCFE subjects and modules, such as mathematics, English, Art, Humanities and Sports studies
  • Daily attendance reports to schools, weekly progression reports, weekly reflections and termly reports
  • Mentor students and encourage them to make better life choices
  • Develop relationships with young people to support their progression
  • Liaise and work alongside schools, parents and other professionals

What we're looking for

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, support skills and a high level of empathy.

  • Ideally 1+ years’ experience working with young people in an education
  • English & Math skills.
  • Functional IT Skills
  • Knowledge of safeguarding processes
  • Reliable & self-motivated.
  • Ideally has an Enhanced DBS
  • GCSE English and Maths (grade A-C) or level 2 literacy and numeracy
  • Experience supporting children and young people with complex health needs (desirable).

Work Location: In person at our learning hubs/around Greater Manchester
