If so, CERT Solutions have an exciting opportunity for you at a special school in Walsall.

We are currently seeking a support assistant for this role to join this schools support team on a full-time basis, starting ASAP. In this role, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to a group of pupils with autism and ADHD, helping them to achieve their full potential and thrive in their educational journey with your support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to pupils with autism and ADHD.
  • Assist in implementing individual learning plans and strategies.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment to support pupils learning and growth.
  • Track and monitor the progress of pupils, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with the teaching team to ensure the smooth running of classroom activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with autism and ADHD is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
