ABC Teachers are currently seeking Teaching Assistant with strong experience in SEND, for a role in a well-established Special needs school in Wolverhampton, with immediate starts available.

About the role:

• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis who have a primary diagnosis of Social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
• Adapt to the needs of students and provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Assist the class teacher with general tasks, tailor learning and prepare materials when required.
• This is a full-time, ongoing role starting as soon as possible. They are also looking for staff looking for more flexible work for other roles too.

• This is an all through school that caters for students with SEMH, ASD and some more complex needs.
• Forward thinking and committed school, that does it’s all to meet the needs of the students and help them achieve the best of their ability.
• Very much a supportive and relaxing atmosphere, where the focus is on the wellbeing of the children they work with, focusing on a 1:1 and small group approach.  

About you:

To be considered for the SEND Teaching Assistant position, you will:

• Effective communication skills, able to adapt to quickly changing situations and children’s individual needs
• Prior experience working in an SEND setting.
• Passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives.
• Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
