ABC Teachers are currently seeking a passionate Learning Support Assistant for a role in a well-established SEND provision in King’s Norton, starting in as soon as possible.

About the role:

  • Primarily supporting on a 1:1 in class with students that have Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties.
  • Adapt to the needs of students and provide an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Working closely with the class teacher to creative innovative ways to support students in the school
  • This is a full-time role starting in as soon as possible, which will be ongoing for the right candidate. They are also looking for staff looking for more flexible work for other roles too.

About the school:

  • The school caters to Secondary aged students SEMH and some additional needs like Autism.
  • A school with a dedicated and nurturing staff team who consistently encourage students to achieve their very best. 
  • Easily accessible by public transport and car and from in central and south Birmingham areas.

About you:

To be considered for the Learning Support Assistant position, you will:

  • Effective communication skills, able to adapt to quickly changing situations and children’s individual needs
  • Nurturing and kind personality
  • Establish positive rapport with students and staff.
  • Passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives.
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
