Maths Teacher – Watford - Immediate start or September 2024!

Supply Desk are currently recruiting on the behalf of a high achieving secondary school in Watford who are looking to recruit a Maths Teacher either to join immediately or for the right candidate, September 2024.

This will be a temporary position on a long term basis continuing for a full academic year with the view to this becoming a permanent appoitment. You will be teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4 in a secondary school that was graded “Good” in all areas in their latest Ofsted inspection.

The role:

• Full Time – Monday to Friday
• You will be required to teach Maths to students between the ages of 11-16 years (KS3 and KS4) and there is an option to teach some KS5
• Planning and preparing for lessons which cater to all students
• Marking and assessment to recap or extend the students learning as appropriate
• Following and promoting the school curriculum and pushing for highest attainment
• Pay rates in line with teacher pay scale

Requirements for the role:

• Must have QTS and experience teaching Maths up to and including GCSE
• Willingness to take on some intervention groups and booster sessions
• Strong behaviour management
• Ability to adapt teaching to cater for needs and abilities of all students, including lower/higher ability and SEN
• You will have excellent subject knowledge and a desire to provide the best education to all students
• Will be required to apply for an enhanced Child Workforce DBS, if you do not already have one on the update service
