GSL Education is seeking a flexible and adaptable General Cover Teacher to provide high-quality teaching across a range of subjects in a vibrant school in Ashington, Northumberland. This role suits a versatile educator keen on inspiring students across different year groups and subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective classroom management and teaching across various subjects as needed.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure continuity of education in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Adapt teaching methods to cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback where necessary.
  • Contribute to the school community through effective collaboration with staff.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a teaching or cover supervising role.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying teaching situations.
  • A commitment to professional growth and development.
