Tempest education are currently working with an Ofsted Outstanding rated Primary School in east london . The school require a Learning Support Assistant to join their team from February 2024 until July, this is a full time role, working Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.00pm (during school term time)

The role will be supporting a child 1:1 In one of theor KS2 Classes. They require additional support to access the learning as they are currently working at a lower level and have mild learning difficulties.

As a Learning Support Assistant you will be tasked with managing behaviour, helping them focus and breaking down the learning to make it accessible to theor ability.

The ideal applicant will have experience in a similar role, be resilient and be able to quickly create a rapport with the child to help support them. This will be a very rewarding role for the right person and will pay up to £500 per week.

What the school are looking for in their Learning Support Assistants:

• Experience supporting children, ideally in a formal classroom setting.
• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs, particularly autism
• Confidence to work independently, although fully supported you will often be working 1:1 outside of the main classroom
• Be able to assist the class teacher with preparing resources, planning sessions and other tasks.
