The role - Head of Music - Southwark

  • To be responsible for guiding the development and innovation of teaching and learning in the Music Department across the School.
  • It is your aim to provide high quality, inspiring and creative lessons that meet the needs of all the children and enhance each child's enthusiasm and potential in a way that meets their individual
  • The aim of the program is to promote the performance of music as well as co-curricular activities on a regular basis. In addition, students are encouraged to participate in the vibrant co-curricular program, in accordance with their strengths.
  • It is the responsibility of the Music Department to ensure that the Music curriculum is creative, innovative, aspirational and contains clearly differentiated schemes of work. This should be updated regularly as well.
  • Assisting the group in planning, organising, and delivering musical performances across a range of ages.
  • To arrange School trips and competitions relevant to Music, across all year groups as appropriate.
  • Assist in the promotion of music throughout the school, and organize and deliver an innovative programme of co-curricular activities, such as choirs and musical ensembles, throughout the school.
  • Assist in the development of young talents and abilities in music by identifying and nurturing those students who have these traits.

The school are currently seeking an experienced Music teacher to become the head of Music in the upcoming academic year.
