Prospero Teaching are currently looking for a Tutor with Qualified Teacher Status to provide 1:1 support to young people in Dagenham.

The Opportunity
Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.

We are currently looking for Tutors with Qualified Teacher Status and or equivalent to provide support KS3-KS4 Maths, English and Science support to pupils who are not currently accessing mainstream education. You will work closely with their school to plan and deliver lessons to these students while they are not accessing mainstream education. Tuition takes place in their homes.

Position Details:

• Location: Dagenham
• Position: KS3 - KS4 Tutor
• Hours: Up to 10 hours per week
• Start date: ASAP
• Duration: ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

• QTS or equivalent
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
• UK classroom teaching experience
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box

To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 Secondary Outreach Tutor must:

• Hold the right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references.
