We are seeking a dedicated psychology graduate to join our team as a SENDhelp teaching assistant. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a crucial role in promoting positive mental health and well being among our students. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in a school setting while making a difference in the lives of young people.
Responsibilities for a SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Provide individual and group support to students facing challenges related to mental health, behaviour, or emotional well-being.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to develop personalised intervention plans for students with specific needs.
* Deliver workshops and presentations on topics such as stress management, resilience, and social-emotional skills.
* Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student's strengths and areas for growth.
* Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss student progress and coordinate support strategies.
Qualifications for a SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field (master's degree preferred).
* Knowledge of developmental psychology, counselling techniques, and behaviours management strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
* Commitment to promoting inclusive, diversity, and equity within the school community.
