Job Duties:- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to secondary school students
- Follow the school curriculum and lesson plans provided
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
- Assess and evaluate student progress through tests, assignments, and exams
- Provide feedback to students, parents, and school staff on student performance
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to different teaching environments and age groups
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a secondary school setting
Knowledge and Skills:- Strong understanding of the national curriculum and educational policies
- Effective classroom management techniques
- Differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
- Evaluation and assessment methods
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- Experience with remote teaching or online learning platforms
- Additional subject specialisms or qualifications
- Part-Time hours, typically covering absences or temporary staff shortages
- Varied teaching environments in different schools within the area
- Collaborative work with school staff, students, and parents
- Potential for short notice assignments and schedule changes
