Position: EYFS/KS1 ASD Teacher

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons for children in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1), tailored to their individual needs and abilities.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement, independence, and social interaction.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioural interventions effectively.
- Utilize ASD-specific teaching strategies and resources to support the development of communication, social skills, and academic progress.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in regular reviews and meetings with parents and multi-disciplinary teams.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching children with ASD.
- Strong understanding of EYFS and KS1 curriculum frameworks and how to adapt them to meet the needs of children with ASD.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience implementing ASD-specific teaching strategies and interventions, such as visual supports, structured teaching, and sensory integration techniques.
- Flexibility, resilience, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
