Part-time SEND Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting for a Part-time SEND Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Pemberton, Wigan (WN5) support a Year 5 child on a one to one basis. This is a part-time and long-term position starting as soon as possible.

This Part-time SEND Teaching Assistant job will involve providing 1:1 support to a Year 5 child who requires assistance in overcoming barriers to learning in order to achieve their true potential. This Part-time SEND Teaching Assistant role will involve keeping the child on task and ensuring that the work they are set is being done to a good standard.

This Part-time SEND Teaching Assistant job is part-time and the working hours will be 08:30am- 12:30 Noon Monday to Friday. This SEND Teaching Assistant job is to start as soon as possible and will be a long-term role until the summer.

Your role & responsibilities:

* Encourage the child to overcome learning barriers
* Work closely with the child to they are achieving their full potential
* To be Inspirational and highly effective in the classroom
* To be Passionate about enabling every child to fulfil their potential

Non-negotiables:

* Have either a relevant childcare qualification Level 2 or Level 3 or above
* Recent experience supporting children in either an education, social care, nursery, community/youth role, college/university placement or any volunteer roles.
* Be able to display excellent verbal communication as well as the ability to actively listen.
* Two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
