Milestone Education is currently looking for a HLTA to work in our partnered school in Birmingham supporting pupils with Special Education Needs.

What will you be doing as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant?

• Working with small groups of pupils or individuals supporting learning and development
• Assessing student's progress and discussing development with teachers, parents and carers
• Preparing classrooms for lessons
• Teaching classes in the absence of the class teacher
• Managing pupil behaviour
• Contributing to individuals' Educational and health care plans

What do you need to be a Higher Level Teaching Assistant?

• Be willing and motivated to make a difference in pupils learning and development
• Experience in positive behaviour management
• Understanding of supporting Special Education needs
• Experience working with SEND in an educational environment

Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm, Monday – Friday

Salary is based on experience and expertise.

Our partnered school is based in Birmingham and is targeted to meet the special education needs of young people aged 5-11 who experience social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.

The school provides a nurturing environment, where children are supported to develop strategies and become resilient, positive, and forward-thinking individuals. Children who attend the school have a wide range of needs including Autism, ADHD, and Attachment Disorder.
