Qualified Nursery Nurse

Nurse Seekers is proud to be recruiting a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner and on behalf of a private Ofsted rate Good Nursery based near Portsmouth. They are expanding their team due to increasing numbers, this setting strives to give every child the skills they need to reach their full potential as well as supporting their families along the way! They are focused on finding the right candidate for them, so they will consider you whether you are looking for a part-time role or a part-time role!

Key Responsibilities

• To deliver high quality teaching and play opportunities, offering care, support and stimulation to the children.
• To have a good awareness of health and safety issues.
• To carry out day to day administration, with support from senior staff, e.g. attendance register, accident book, children’s records and electronic learning journeys, planning and evaluating activities, Routines, risk assessments and observations.
• To monitor and evaluate practice through observations and comply with being observed by other members of staff.
• Create an effective parent partnership, ensuring parents are informed about nursery events and their children’s nursery life and development through greeting parents, home link diaries, signs and open days.
• To attend meetings as appropriate.
• To attend relevant training and contribute to accreditation schemes or quality improvement tasks.
• To carry out all activities within an equal opportunities framework
