Cover Supervisor (SEMH)  

Location: Grantham
Salary: £100 - £120 per day
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education is looking for a motivated Cover Supervisor with experience in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) to join a dynamic team in Grantham. The successful candidate will provide cover for absent teachers and support students with SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring students engage in pre-set work.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a safe learning environment.
  • Supporting students with SEMH needs, encouraging participation and understanding.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff to ensure continuity in students' learning and support.
  • Providing feedback to teachers on classroom sessions and student engagement.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, ideally in settings with SEMH students.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
  • Understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to support students.
  • Flexibility to cover a variety of subjects and adapt to different classroom settings.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
