Year 6 Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting for a Year 6 Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Hindley Green, Wigan (WN2) to provide general support to the class teacher. This is a full-time and long-term position starting as soon as possible.

This Year 6 Teaching Assistant job will involve supporting the class teacher with the day to day running of the classroom. You will also be expected to work with groups of children and occasionally on a one to one basis as and when required.

This Year 6 Teaching Assistant job is full-time and the working hours will be 08:30am- 15:30pm Monday to Friday, with a 30 minute lunch break. This Year 6 Teaching Assistant job is to start as soon as possible and will be a long-term role until the summer holidays.

Non-negotiables:

* Have either a relevant childcare qualification Level 2 or Level 3 or above
* Recent experience supporting children in either an education, social care, nursery, community/youth role, college/university placement or any volunteer roles.
* Be able to display excellent verbal communication as well as the ability to actively listen.
* Two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
