Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting students’ learning and development? We are currently seeking enthusiastic people to join us as Learning Support Assistants!

About the role:

Learning support assistants play a crucial role in providing individualised support and encouragement to students with diverse learning needs. You will work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to provide essential support to students, enabling them to access the curriculum and thrive both academically and personally.

Responsibilities:

As a learning support assistant your responsibilities will include:

Individualised support: Provide 1:1 and group support to students with a range of learning needs, including those with special educational needs.

Adapted Resources: Assist in the development and implementation of individualised learning plans and adapted resources to support students learning and progress.

Classroom Assistance: Support teachers in delivering lessons and activities, providing assistance and encouragement to students as needed, and helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Behavioural Support: Implement positive behaviour management strategies and interventions to support students in managing their emotions, behaviours and social interactions.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role you will need:

• An Enhanced DBS Check (or be willing to complete one)
• Relevant work or personal experience supporting children or young people with diverse needs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting students.

Additional Details:

Hours: This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Salary: Competitive, based on the M1 - M6 teaching scale, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Location: Oxfordshire
