£100 - £120/day

Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a student 1:1 with academic learning in an SEN school setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tailored support to the student, assisting with their academic development, and helping them achieve their learning goals.

Employment Type: Part-time, 4 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a student with special educational needs.
  • Assist the student with academic learning, including reading, writing, and numeracy.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of the student.
  • Monitor and assess the student's progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies for development.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and other members of the school staff to ensure the student's needs are met effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of the student's progress and achievements.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or similar role.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in an SEN school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
  • Strong understanding of SEN practices and strategies.
  • DBS certificate on the update service.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or teaching assistance (desirable).
