Are you passionate about inspiring young minds and helping students develop their language skills? We are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to work in a secondary schools in Colchester. The position starts in September on a daily supply basis but there is a potential permanent position for the successful candidate.

About the role

The desired English Teacher will have experience of working within a school environment and be comfortable supervising pupils across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). You will be confident in helping students to develop their language skills, explore the world of literature and develop a lifelong love of reading and writing. Delivering pre-planned lessons, this is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who wants to develop their experience of teaching a multitude of age ranges and abilities.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of English Teacher - September Start you will:

  • Have experience working in a secondary setting
  • Have or working towards QTS
  • Hold a degree qualification in a relevant field
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Be a confident communicator, able to use your own initiative when required
  • Have/or willing to pay for an Enhanced DBS on the update service

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Have or working towards QTS
