This SEMH Boys School is a leading educational institution that caters to the unique needs of students aged 7-16 with SEMH needs providing a supportive and inclusive environment where students can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. Responsibilities:

As a SEMH teaching assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality education and support to our students. Your responsibilities will include:

Implementing appropriate behaviour management strategies and fostering positive relationships with students to promote their emotional well-being and academic progress.

Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, including therapists and support staff, to develop and implement individualized education plans.

Tracking and monitoring student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents/guardians, and contributing to the assessment process.

Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports the social and emotional development of students.

Participating in professional development activities and keeping up to date with the latest research and best practices in SEMH education.

Requirements:

Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to establish positive relationships with challenging learners.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

A genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs and a commitment to their holistic development.

Resilience, patience, and a positive attitude in the face of challenging situations.
