Job Title: Full-Time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview: As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with teachers to plan and deliver high-quality lessons, provide targeted support to students, and contribute to the overall development of our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead small group interventions and deliver pre-planned lessons under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Support the planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons across a range of subjects and age groups.
  • Provide one-to-one support to students who require additional assistance, helping them to overcome learning barriers and achieve their full potential.
  • Assist in the assessment and monitoring of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.

Requirements:

  • Recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Previous experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents/carers.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to effectively plan and deliver lessons and interventions.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting teaching and learning, with the ability to adapt to the needs of individual students and classrooms.
  • Dedication to upholding high standards of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all aspects of your work.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
