Do you have experiece supporting students with visual and/or hearing impairments?

I am looking to appoint a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic Sensory Support Specialist.

The role

  • You would be working alongside children who have been diagnosed with visual, hearing or multi-sensory impairment
  • You will need to have had experience of collabratively working with a range of professionals and agencies
  • Experience of producing specialist resources for children with sensory impairment and other SEND
  • Ideally you will have both or either a qualification in Braille or British Sign Language (Level 2)

Requirements

  • DBS on the update service or be willing to purchase
  • Supporting children in learning Braille, Touch Typiing and how to use their assistive technology
  • Setting up of VI/HI equipment
  • Qulification in Braille or British Sign Language - Level 2 or above

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
