Looking for a rewarding role as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a mainstream secondary school? Perhaps you're a Graduate looking to gain experience or test the waters in a school environment? We're currently seeking experienced Teaching or Learning Support Assistants to work on a one to one basis with a number of students with a range of moderate requirements at a lovely mainstream school in Bushey, Hertfordshire.

As an SEN TA, you'll have the opportunity to support Key Stage 3 students with mild and moderate requirements including, Autism, global delay, dyslexia, ADHD and communication issues. This is a long-term role starting ASAP or from September paying £80 - £115 per day. All experienced TAs with a passion for SEN are encouraged to apply, as are Graduates looking to start their career in education.

This is a well-run and popular school with a great reputation for providing inclusive education for all children that aims to ensure they make excellent progress daily. The school is looking to appoint at least 3 SEN TAs who will work with students predominantly in Years 7 and 8 on a one to one basis. All students are well-behaved and respectful of staff and pupils and need support with maintaining focus and for concepts to be broken down using a range of methods developed by the school to help them learn. The students have made excellent progress from when they first arrived at the school, and the Head Teacher is keen to see they are fully prepared for the next stage of their education.

The ideal candidate for this role should ideally hold a degree (in any subject) or other relevant qualifications, have recent experience working as a TA/LSA, possess energy, commitment and creativity, and be able to engage well with colleagues, children and their parents. A positive attitude and willingness to commit for the academic year 2024/25 are also essential.
