A leading secondary school based in Watford, Hertfordshire seeking an engaging and hardworking Science Technician to join their team. This is a full-time, temporary to permanent position starting as soon as possible, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

As a Science Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring lessons are equipped with the necessary resources, managing the school's Science resources including stocktaking, deliveries, and rotation, maintaining health and safety standards, and providing class-based support for practical lessons. Additionally, you will keep an up-to-date inventory of school Science resources, organise preparation areas and store rooms, and undertake any other duties as required.

• Ensure that classrooms are equipped with resources to support learning in Science subjects
• Manage the school's Science resources, including stock taking, deliveries and rotation
• Maintain high health and safety standards at all times, ensuring that all equipment and resources are used in a safe and appropriate manner
• Provide class-based support for practical lessons as required by teaching staff
• Keep an up-to-date inventory of all Science resources within the school
• Organise preparation areas and store rooms to ensure that all equipment is stored correctly and is easily accessible to teaching staff when needed.

The successful candidate will have a Science degree or lab technician experience, an enhanced DBS disclosure, overseas police check (where applicable), two professional reference checks, and a CV covering their full working history dating back to education. They must also have the legal right to work in the UK.
