Role: Year 2 Teaching Assistant

We require an Early Years Primary Teaching Assistants one of our leading clients in North London. We work with many schools and, therefore, can offer you regular work. By working as an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you have flexibility on the days you wish to work, whether that is full-time or part-time. You can also choose if you would like to receive morning calls or to be pre-booked in advance.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will have strengths within primary education. You will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the pupils, whether it be in a group, SEN or 1:1 setting, as well as supporting the class teacher.

Ideal Candidate:

• Assisting in the development of appropriate resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies.
• Supporting with behaviour management.
• Undertaking structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities to ensure achievement of learning goals.
• Assisting with the supervision of children out of lesson times, such as playtime and lunchtime duty
• Establishing good relationships with children, acting as a role model.
• Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all children, supporting difference and ensuring that all have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
• Supporting the child with their learning and development in areas such as literacy, numeracy, Key Stage and/or subject specific.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
• Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with challenging behaviours
• Safeguarding experience.
• Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment, supporting the learning of students.
