The Role - PMLD Teacher

PMLD Teacher required for SEN school in the borough of Hillingdon. The PMLD Teacher will be available for an immediate start working on a long term contract until July 2024, with view for this to be extended. The PMLD Teacher will have previous experience working within a SEN environment supporting learners with ASD, MLD, SLD, PMLD and Complex Needs. The PMLD Teacher will be flexible to work across two sites planning and preparing lessons at pre-key stage levels catered to the specific learning ability of pupils. The PMLD Teacher will be delivering stand alone lessons to class sizes of up to 8 pupils with support from x2 learning support assistants. The PMLD Teacher will have QTS/QTLS and additional training in PECS or Makaton and Team Teach.

The School - SEN School, Hillingdon

SEN school located in borough of Hillingdon catering to primary and secondary pupils across two sites. The school is an independent setting catering mainly to pupils on the Autistic spectrum with one of more of the following needs; MLD, SLD, PMLD and Complex Needs. Pupils are taught at pre key stage levels through the use of a Picture Exchange Communication System, TEACCH and Makaton where needed.
