Job Title: Primary Class Teacher

Are you a primary school teacher, an ECT or soon to be qualified teacher who is passionate about shaping young minds and inspiring pupils? GSL Education are currently partnering with local primary schools in Bournemouth and Christchurch to find teachers who are willing to join as flexible or permanent additions to their teaching team.

While the schools are primarily mainstream primary settings, teachers may also be involved in supporting students with Special Education Needs, and working alongside other professionals to help support the diverse needs of the class. Therefore, any prior experience or knowledge of SEN is highly desirable.

The teaching positions are full-time, however part-time applicants will also be considered.


Qualifications:

  • Teaching Certification (QTS/PGCE)
  • Strong knowledge of primary school curriculum and teaching methodologies
  • Previous experience of working in a primary school is preferred, not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for education
  • Ability to create engaging and inclusive lesson plans


Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a conducive learning atmosphere
  • Assess and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development and well-being
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices
  • Create a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves and take risks

  • Skills:
  • Classroom management
  • Ability to differentiate during lessons to ensure all pupils’ needs are met
  • Effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assessment and evaluation strategies
  • Ability to teach Key stage 1 and/or Key stage 2

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
