Join our dynamic team at Accelerate Teaching and make a difference in the lives of students at a vibrant Secondary School located in Leeds. We are currently seeking a passionate Teacher of Science to inspire and engage our students in the wonders of scientific inquiry and discovery.

Role Overview:

  • Teach Science to secondary school students, fostering a love for the subject and promoting critical thinking skills.
  • Create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Utilise innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and school events as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant degree in Science or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Science at the secondary level, with a proven track record of student success.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young minds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of educational trends and best practices.
