Joining our Construction Management Team at Carshalton College, the Team Leader in Construction will take responsibility for the quality control and delivery, on both theory and practical elements to students on a range of construction courses, including carpentry, plumbing, multi-skills and bricklaying.

We’re looking for someone who holds a recognised teaching qualification and who has experience of teaching construction courses in the Further Education sector. You’ll hold a Level 3 qualification in a relevant vocational area of carpentry and be able to lead a team of staff, to include staff development and setting and monitoring targets.

With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you’ll demonstrate the ability to teach the specified vocational area at a level appropriate to the students and in a way that recognises their different learning needs and abilities. You’ll have knowledge of current assessment strategies and qualifications, and be flexible and responsive when it comes to the change in demands for services and new developments.
