Purpose of the Position:
As a Functional Skills Tutor, your mission is to deliver top-notch training programs that equip military learners with the essential functional skills required for their role. You will be responsible for providing face-to-face and remote support to around 30 learners in English and Maths. With a focus on Royal Logistics and Royal Engineering learners, you will play a crucial role in enhancing their knowledge and understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective face-to-face and remote functional skills training in English and Maths to military learners.
- Assess learners' progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Utilize innovative teaching methodologies and technology to enhance learning outcomes.
- Conduct thorough performance assessments and maintain up-to-date records of learners' progress.
- Build positive relationships with learners and provide ongoing support and guidance.
- Liaise with other team members and stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of training programs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in functional skills training.
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience delivering functional skills training, preferably in a military or defence training context.
- Hold a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
- PTLLS is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in utilizing technology for remote teaching and learning.
- Ability to engage and motivate learners effectively.
- Flexibility in working hours and a very flexible working approach.
- Driving licence and access to own car
My client is offering:
- A starting salary of £28,000 - £29,000
- Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week contract
