£441-£510 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role

Vision for Education are currently recruiting for a PMLD Teaching Assistant in a SEN school in the Maidstone area. The school supports children aged 2-11 years old with a range of needs such as PMLD, Autism and complex learning difficulties. The School educates pupils in a specialist environment using proven methods from mainstream, and special sectors, to allow them to take their place as respected members of the community and fulfil their potential. The PMLD Teaching Assistant role starts in April 2024and has the potential to run until the end of the next academic year (2025). There is also the potential for this to become a permanent role.

Requirements 

The desired Teaching Assistant will; 

• Have a good understanding and experience with PMLD.
• Have experience or be willing to help children with their personal care requirements.
• Be caring, confident and positive.
• Have a dedication to supporting young people with SEN and help them achieve the best outcomes.
• Have experience working with children or adults with PMLD
