Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)

As we continue to inspire young minds and foster a love for learning, we are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team.

Position Overview: We are looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to support our teachers in delivering high-quality education to our students. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting with classroom activities, providing individualised support, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and stimulating lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide one-to-one support and small group interventions to students who require additional assistance, helping them to overcome learning challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students, promoting positive behaviour and fostering a sense of belonging and inclusion within the classroom.
  • Prepare and organise classroom materials, resources, and displays, contributing to a vibrant and inspiring learning environment.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and other staff members to create and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers to support ongoing learning and development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably within a primary school environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents/carers.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting students, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in their lives.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Dedication to upholding high standards of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all aspects of your work.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
