Vision for Education is seeking enthusiastic, motivated individuals, especially those with a passion for working in Education as a Teaching Assistant to join our successful team working with Secondary schools in the Braintree area. We can offer, full time and part time roles with flexible start dates to suit the successful candidate.

About the role

Vision for Education are excited to offer this bespoke opportunity to support passionate people with entering the education sector. We work alongside our client schools to provide successful Trainee Teaching Assistants with high quality training and paid on the job experience.

Following a successful interview and pending suitability, safeguarding and identity checks, we will work to secure you a paid placement in a school to further enhance your skill set. We will support you to develop your identity as an educator and help to choose your specialist area from KS3, KS4 and SEND provision.

Prior to starting your placement, you will be required to complete a comprehensive training programme delivered by Vision for Education and school leaders, ultimately providing you with the essential skills needed to work as a Teaching Assistant.

About the school

The successful Teaching Assistant will be working with a variety of secondary schools in Braintree and the surrounding areas who are focused on supporting students to reach their full potential. With Teaching Assistants being instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of any school, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills and demonstrate an interest and passion in supporting the needs of all children.

The role of a Teaching Assistant varies from each school. Initially you will be required to support the delivery of quality learning and work with students on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and whole class activities.

To be considered for the role of Trainee Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Have a desire to support young people with their learning
  • Show dedication for improving outcomes for all children
  • Have a caring, positive and flexible attitude
  • Be proactive and a good communicator
  • Be reliable in both attendance and punctuality
  • Be committed to working collaboratively as a team
  • Complete the required training and participating in ongoing CPD
  • Be willing to pay for an enhanced DBS check and register with the update service

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
