SEN Teaching Assistant - Expiring soon!

An all-through SEN school is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This will be a full time, long-term position starting in May 2024. This will be a maternity cover until May 2025 however, there may be an opportunity to go permanent after the end of the contract.

In this position you will be working in a mixed KS2 class of Year 4 to Year 6 students with Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties. You will be working throughout the class however you will also need to run 1:1 sessions outside with students who struggle with being in a classroom environment.

Based in Harrow, the all through SEN school provides education for students using a holistic approach to learning and work closely with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists to bring the best out of all pupils. The school is easily accessible by public transport and also, they provide onsite parking.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Hold previous experience working within SEN
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
