As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students on a one-to-one basis. You will work closely with very vulnerable pupils, including those who suffer from PTSD, Anxiety, EBD, and SEMH. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one support to students, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Developing and implementing individualised support plans to address the specific needs of each student.
  • Assisting with behaviour management and de-escalation techniques.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress and behaviour.
  • Offering emotional support and guidance to students as they navigate their academic and personal challenges.
