Primary Teacher - SEMH School in Carshalton
Primary Teacher – Full-time
We are currently recruiting for a Special Educational Needs and Mental Health (SEMH) School in Carshalton who are seeking an experienced Teacher to teach KS1/KS2 students.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in teaching KS1 and KS2 students and a genuine passion for teaching students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
This is a long-term, full-time role to start as soon as possible and will be with a view to going permanent. The salary will be equal to the main Teachers’ pay scale plus SEN points.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEMH needs
- Develop and implement individualised learning plans to support students in their development
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods to get the best out of each student.
- Utilise effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
- Support students in developing self-regulation and coping skills.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience in teaching Primary aged students
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
