Rate of Pay: £180.00 - £210 per day (DOE)

Holiday Entitlement: 36 days per year (including bank holidays)

Exciting Opportunity for a Business Analyst

The job holder will assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of business systems and processes for the management and analysis of operations data to measure the performance of the PMO and, support decision-making and forward planning for the Programmes and PMO

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of PMO Effectiveness in the design, implementation and maintenance of systems and processes for the management of PMO Operational data, including the production of monthly reports, through the provision of intelligent information and analysis;
  • Collaborate with other Disciplines of the PMO, as well as other Project Functions, to help deliver Project goals in keeping with the HPC principles of Trust, Transparency and Teamwork;
  • Maintain an awareness of the operational requirements of the Programmes and PMO disciplines;
  • Prepare for, attend, and record outputs from PMO and PMO Effectiveness Team Meetings.
  • Collaborate with Framework Providers and Agencies in relation to upcoming role vacancies and forward planning of resources.
  • Coordinate with PMO Discipline Managers, Supply Chain, and HR to ensure efficient end-to-end onboarding of new starters.

Core Processes:

  • Provide data collation, analysis and interpretation of key operational requirements;
  • Assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of systems to effect the above;
  • Maintain and produce monthly cost reports, operational dashboards and organisation charts;
  • Act as technical interface for the PMO with the Finance, Supply Chain and HR Functions for all data related matters;
  • Attend administrative based meetings on behalf of the Head of PMO Effectiveness when required;
  • Adhere to Project governance and PMO standards and procedures;
  • Ensure all Project documents, in particular Sensitive Nuclear Information, are correctly protectively marked, and protected in accordance with EDF policies and procedures.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Knowledge and understanding of general business systems such as MyHR, Fieldglass, SAP
  • Knowledge of data visualisation and analysis tools, applications and techniques, including the capability of business intelligence analytics tools such as Microsoft PowerBI
  • Excellent skills in using Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio);
  • High level of analytical and numerical skills;
  • Good attention to detail;
  • Ability to understand Project Controls methodologies, techniques and processes for programme and project management in a major infrastructure environment;
  • Ability to understand and use HPC & PMO management software (Teamcenter, Insight);
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex Project Controls data;
  • Good commercial awareness;
  • Ability to build relationships both internally and externally;
  • High standard of interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of PMO disciplines
  • Ability to create concise narrative to support project reporting;
  • Technical and practical comprehension of engineering, procurement and construction methods and techniques in a UK context;
  • Working knowledge of cost and schedule risk analysis techniques;
  • Understanding of various contract types, in particular the NEC suite and FIDIC;
  • Working knowledge of French and/or Chinese languages an advantage.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a HR environment
  • Proven experience in a business and/or commercial environment
  • Experience in data visualisation and analysis techniques
  • Experience on a major construction project

Desirable:

  • Degree in HR, Business, Engineering, or other related field;
  • Professionally qualified with chartered or equivalent status;
  • Experience of working over the full lifecycle of a project;
  • Experience in the Nuclear sector.
